To apply for the Absa Student Credit Card, you must meet the following criteria:

  2. Have a minimum monthly income of R800 or receive a subsidy of this amount.
  3. Be a registered full-time student at a FET college, SAQA-approved institution, university, university of technology, or private institution.

You can access the form through Absa’s internet banking. Here’s how:

  1. Click on the “Apply” button located at the bottom of the page.
  2. On the Online Account Application page, enter the characters shown in the image.
  3. Complete the six-step assessment.
  4. You can either save and continue later or proceed through each stage.
  5. Click “Apply” once you’ve completed the assessment.

Absa will then analyze your request and respond within 3 business days. If your application is accepted, your card will be generated and linked to your Absa account, and it will be delivered to your home within a few days.

Where can you pay your Absa Student Credit Card bills?

You can manage your card and payments through the Absa application or online banking. At the end of your billing cycle, an invoice will be generated with a due date of your choice. You can pay this invoice through:

  1. Automatic debit from your account on the due date.
  2. Payment at any bank using a ticket.
  3. Direct deposit in branch boxes.
